Alberto Bernad is a documentary film editor and storyteller based in Switzerland, working across independent films, television, and international co-productions. His work focuses on shaping narrative and emotional structure in the edit room, often under tight production schedules and with a strong emphasis on editorial authorship.

Alongside his professional work, Alberto is the creator and host of DocuCraft, an independent platform dedicated to documentary editing. Through in-depth interviews with editors and filmmakers, DocuCraft explores how non-fiction stories are built, uncovering the creative decisions behind structure, rhythm, and meaning. His conversations feature collaborations with filmmakers and editors behind award-winning documentaries, including projects recognized at festivals such as Sundance.

Alberto’s approach to editing blends intuition with structure, drawing inspiration from cinema, music, and observational storytelling. He is particularly interested in the invisible architecture of documentary films — how raw material transforms into narrative through selection, juxtaposition, and timing
